Greetings Neighbors,

My name is Francois “Dominic” Hoarau and I want to be YOUR Precinct 8 Constable!

I will bring Integrity, Uniformity, Business Experience, and most of all, ENTHUSIASM to this office.

I will employ seasoned officers with years of Law Enforcement Experience and I will utilize these highly trained officers to provide a safer and more highly respected office.

There is no reason why the Pct 8 Constable’s Office cannot set the standards in Galveston County for superior service in our community.

I will:

1. Work with local agencies to locate and track registered sex offenders, who reside in our neighborhoods. (Keeping our children safe from predators)
2. Develop programs to encourage our local teens to “stay on track”.
3. Add law enforcement presence to our neighborhoods with uniformed officers and marked units. (Higher visibility leads to less crime)
4. Employ seasoned officers with years of experience in “street patrol” knowledge. Officers capable of handling any and all situations that may arise during the course of duty. (Knowledge and recognition leads to prevention)
5. Serve the judicial courts, by providing court security and document service. (Serving the court in an aggressive and productive manner)
6. Serve the local business owners with aggressive and timely service in regards to “worthless checks” and other needed services. (Helping businesses re-coup losses due to fraudulent and/or insufficient funds)
7. Request State and Federal grants to support programs that will better our community, without utilizing local taxes.

All of these goals are achievable. It takes initiative and a pro-active Constable’s Office. If you grant me this opportunity, I will do the work.

About Dominic

Dominic is a successful established business owner in Northern Galveston County with an extensive experience serving the public.  Dominic is a veteran and served his country in the Navy.  Dominic is a graduate of the Galveston County Sheriff Citizen Academy.  Dominic is a husband and father, who understands that our families thrive when they feel safe in a community properly served by local law enforcement, in particular the constable's office.

Why I'm Running for Constable Position

I see that our precinct is not being served well.  I feel that my interaction with other business owners and residents of the district will allow me to better serve the community.

Plans for Improving Service in the Constable's Office

I intend on hiring trusted, experienced, professional law enforcement officers as my deputies to enforce the laws of the State of Texas.  I will work with both of the sitting Justices of the Peace to ensure that justice is served.  I will continue my community outreach to ensure that the Constable's office is both accessible and effectively serving the community's needs.
